You may have spotted a few  sunflowers on my blog and social media recently! That’s because we took a trip to Sopley Farm in The New Forest to see the fields of sunflowers.

Sopley Farm is really easy to find, you only have to look out for the sunflowers! It’s well sign posted and a large pull in car park to park in.

In the car park is a play area and currently a vintage style caravan where you can buy a hot drink too. When you arrive there is a barn building where the farm shop is. Here you can purchase fruit and already picked, pay for items and pick up your baskets before heading out into the fields.

Sopley Farm is a large pick your own farm with so many fruits and vegetables to pick yourself. The man who we spoke to said he had over 280 acres!

We headed around to the Sopley Mill sunflowers which looked so lovely. There as tall as the children and such thick stems.

You can pick your own sunflowers or purchased already cut ones from the shop. At £2 for five I think they are super great value.

I managed to get some photos of the children in the sunflowers, just in time before the rain came down!

Sofia even got a lovely photo of me and Kev.

Have you ever been to a sunflower field before? I think this year I have been more pop up around and I happily welcome them! They are such a happy flower and so bright and colourful.

Let me know if you visit Sopley Farm and what you pick!

  1. For the first time ever I went to a Lavender field and want to visit a sunflower field one day, this looks so pretty.

  2. I absolutely love sunflowers! I’ve never been to a ‘pick your own’ for sunflowers but there are lots of sunflower fields near my mum’s. I’ve never thought of sneaking a few photos there but it’s a great idea!

    • Oh yes I would love to see your photos! They seem to be popping up a lot more than other years, well around here
