Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

Just a bunch of normal family life pictures.

I took last weekend off as I felt like I needed a little free time, I had put up a lovely post the previous week on our beach trip and I loved the vlog we did. So when it came around to this weekends vlog I hated it! We didn’t do anything exciting and it would have made a really boring vlog. I really don’t feel comfortable putting out content that I don’t love, or just putting it out there for the sake of it. So it’s left me feeling a bit weird about it all.

I think I might do Day In The Life videos for when we go somewhere and interesting. I know life isn’t always fun and interesting. It’s why I did these posts of our weekends in pictures to show little moments in our life. So I think I will stick to this and carry on creating videos that I love to create and not just because I am meant to upload on a Monday.

I still have our family holiday video from August to create!

I hope everyone loved the snow. It has all melted here but we had a lovely couple of days. I put together a snow vlog to remember these days and took some lovely photos. (See content that I am happy to publish!)

Saturday 3rd March

The snow had started to melt rapidly, so the kids friends popped over to have one last play in it.

Grandma and Grandad popped over…with cake!!

Sunday 3rd March

It was the girls friends party today, a trampolining party so they had a fantastic time there. They wanted to make her the birthday cards!

A lovely walk with my boys down Hill Head whilst the girls were at the party. Everyone else had the same idea after being stuck indoors with the snow and it was so busy.

We had a very nice coffee and cake at The Osborne View in Hill Head. They let dogs in too so perfect!

We spent 3 hours sorting out some finances and bills. We’re looking at Virgin Media for their super fast internet but they currently don’t supply our house…..however our next door neighbours have it!! So fingers crossed they get in contact and say we can have it. With 5 of us in the house and me working from home, super fast broadband would be fantastic!

Gosh my hubby spoils me! After popping to the shops to hunt down milk…..Kev returns with apple crumble and custard in bed, watching Call The Midwife. Did anyone else watch it and cry all the way through?

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram

I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I put them together into a Photobook.

  1. Apple crumble and custard in bed..what a legend! I feel like I’m the only one in the world who hasn’t watch Call The Midwife yet….

    • Oh it really is one of my favourite programs! I know I can’t complain can I!!

  2. Yay for the snow and thank goodness you got a good dollop of the stuff too. Your photos are really beautiful too making some lovely memories

    • Thank you, I am so pleased we did too and happy it only lasted 2 days! Were not set up for anything longer!!

  3. Ahh what fun you all had in the snow! I am so jealous, we had none here and now it feels the moment has passed!

    • Oh no I can’t believe you didn’t get any. I bet you hated seeing everyones photos!!

  4. Apple crumble and custard in bed sounds like my kind of evening! It looks like you all had lots of fun in the snow too, great family picture! My son loved the snow but my daughter (who is 3) hated it and refused to even entertain the idea of stepping out in it lol!

  5. It has been lovely having some snow, hasn’t it……although it did cause a bit of chaos here. We have Virgin and wouldn’t go back to anyone else now

    • Ah that is good to know about Virgin, fingers crossed they sort it out soon for us then.

  6. The snow melted after 4 days here, it finally rained and starting to look like Spring is in the air. Seems like the girls had a lovely time at the friend’s party

    • Yes it didn’t last long here either and was glad to get life going back to normal again!

  7. Oh apple crumble and custard you are a very lucky lady. I love your blogs but understand that you only want to give great content and not just post for posting sake. The snow looked fun I liked the bucket head on your snowman. I am a little jealous because we didn’t get any and I would have loved to make snow angels with my boys and build snowman and go sledging. Thank you for linking up to #pointshoot

    • That’s lovely to hear, thank you very much. Don’t worry there will be vlogs just I don’t think we are popular enough for people to want to watch us eat our dinner and sit on the sofa!!

  8. You might just be the luckiest lady I know. Apple crumble in bed? That’s on my birthday wish list now. I love your snow fun – and I also love that you get cake brought over to your house by Grandparents!

    • Thanks! My parents can’t come over without bringing something over to eat!!

  9. Wow looks like you had a great few days off and I still cannot believe we had so much snow – my kids loved it as well! Who doesn’t love a white winter?

  10. I can’t believe that your neighbours have virgin media but not you! That is mad! Love how much snow you had – we had quite a bit but I was really surprised at how it just disappeared over night! Thanks so much for linking up with #ourweekendhappy

    • Yes and I still haven’t heard anything back from them either! Must chase it up again!!

  11. Your snow photographs are stunning. The snow was so magical before it melted. I can’t believe how deep it was. It looks like you had a fabulous weekend. I love the fact that cake featured heavily. That is my kind of weekend. And apple crumble and custard in bed watching Call The Midwife sounds like the perfect end to Sunday. Thanks so much for linking up with #ourweekendhappy. We really hope to see you back tomorrow. Hugs Lucy xxxx

    • Thank you, I was so glad to capture those images in the snow. It hardly ever happens so had to get some! Yeah cake does seem to feature quite a bit in my weekends!!!
