Droxford is a beautiful country village in Hampshire, I didn’t know much about Droxford until recently, my Hearing Dogs puppy training classes are based there now, so I have got to know the area a little bit more.

There is so much countryside around us, and I am really enjoying exploring it with the kids. Last weekend we ventured off to Droxford with our friends.

I knew of a little circular walk around that would give the kids a chance to have a run around, explore the fields, walk over bridges and just have fun together.

You start off at Droxford church, filled with a lot of history. If it interests you take a look at the ages on the graves, we found someone who had lived over 100 years and who was born very early 1800’s! Amazing for those years.

There is a path along the right hand side and around the back of the church, follow this down to the river. Where you will find a cute little bridge to walk over, shallow (ish!) water and fields over the other side.

Walk up to the top of the hill and your be greeted with this beautiful view around you.

There are gates to go through, or over if you are a child!

Keep following the paths and arrows and your come across some steps which lead down to the old railway line, this is perfect for riding your bike along!

Keep following the paths and arrows and your get out onto the road, this is where you find the river again. I love this bit, perfect paddling river. I am looking forward to bringing them back here in the summer to paddle in. Tyler made the most of his new waterproof walking boots and put them to the test here!

Not sure what Daddy spotted here, but he had the kids attention, just not our friends!

Keep following it along pass this stunning mill

Over more stiles and through the field, this brings you back out to the church.

Droxford also has a lovely play area to play in too, with climbing frames, zip wires, swings and slides.

We had a lovely time, and it is lovely to get another place added to our list of days out.
